Eight people were killed and three injured in a head-on collision between a bus carrying staff of a private hospital in Bahah and a Mercedes Benz on the Taif-Bahah road Friday night. The death toll included three nurses, the bus driver and his assistant, and the Mercedes Benz driver and two passengers with him. Two injured nurses and one worker were rushed to King Faisal Hospital in Taif. Six rescue teams were dispatched the location, said Saeed Al-Zahrani, spokesman of the Health Affairs Department in Taif. A tire blowout of the Mercedes was believed to have caused it to swerve into the opposite direction and hit the bus, he said. Okaz/SG __
