FA Cup holder Portsmouth set up a fourth round meeting with Championship (second division) side Swansea City when it won 2-0 at Bristol City in a third round replay on Tuesday. West Bromwich Albion, the only other Premier League side in action on a night when nine FA Cup ties were played, beat League One (third division) promotion challengers Peterborough United 2-0 at London Road in their third round replay. There were no shock results though, with Swansea beating minor league Histon 2-1 and Sheffield United of the Championship beating Leyton Orient of League One (third division) 4-1. Portsmouth took the lead at Ashton Gate after 38 minutes when England striker Peter Crouch completed a counter-attacking move that began after City appeals that Crouch handled in his own penalty area were turned down. Croatia winger Niko Kranjcar added Portsmouth's second two minutes from time and Portsmouth's England goalkeeper David James saved a Nicky Maynard penalty a minute later. Swansea will travel to Fratton Park after winning at Histon with first half goals from Gorka Pintado and Guillem Bauza. Pintado missed a penalty for the visitors after 81 minutes before Josh Simpson pulled one back three minutes later. West Brom, the Premier League's bottom side, scored a rare away win with Jay Simpson, on loan from Arsenal, scoring the first goal after 18 minutes and defender Paul Robinson heading the second in the 37th minute. West Brom also beat Peterborough in both the League Cup and FA Cup at London Road last season. Championship leader Wolverhampton Wanderers won the midlands derby 2-0 against Birmingham City at St. Andrews with Andy Keogh and Sam Vokes securing Wolves a fourth round meeting with Premier League Middlesbrough. Charlton Athletic, which has not won for a club record 17 league matches, chalked up its first victory since October with a 1-0 win at Norwich City in an all-Championship replay and will now play Sheffield United in the fourth round. United came from behind to beat Leyton Orient 4-1 with all of its goals coming in the second half. In other games Cheltenham Town and Doncaster Rovers drew 0-0 in their re-arranged third round tie while Millwall won 3-2 at Crewe Alexandra in a third round replay. Meanwhile Burnley's Jay Rodriguez scored in the last minute of extra-time as the Clarets beat Championship rivals QPR 2-1. Burnley now face West Brom. Inter beats 10-man Genoa In Milan, Inter Milan struggled to beat 10-man Genoa 3-1 in extra time and advance into another matchup with AS Roma in the Italian Cup quarterfinals on Tuesday. With Argentina coach Diego Maradona watching at San Siro, Argentina midfielder Esteban Cambiasso redirected in a rebound of a shot from Zlatan Ibrahimovic for the match-winner in the 100th minute. Ibrahimovic secured the victory with Inter's third goal in the 103rd - through the legs of Genoa goalkeeper Alessio Scarpi. Inter and Roma have met in the last four Italian Cup finals. Inter won in 2005 and 2006 and Roma took the honors for the past two years. After squandering numerous chances, against Genoa Inter finally went ahead in the 75th when Adriano outleaped three defenders to head in a cross from Maxwell. But four minutes later, Marco Rossi equalized. A midfielder who has been with Genoa since the club was in the third division in 2005-06, Rossi notched his first score of the season with an impressive rising shot from the edge of the area. Adriano had a controversial penalty kick blocked by Scarpi in the 21st.
