In further manifestation of yet strong Saudi economy and its ability to withstand the financial crisis that sends most countries reeling, a chain of luxury home furniture store in the Kingdom has relaunched on Monday a much bigger space to house high-end home products.
Leading fashion retailer Rubaiyat has reopened its showroom under the name Rubaiyat Home for carefully selected house wares and accessories.
Situated at the entrance to El Khayyat Center on Prince Mohammed Bin Abdul Aziz Street (Tahlia Street), Jeddah, the renovated Rubaiyat showroom is now extended to three from only two floors when it was first launched in late 2003.
Aside from the products of internationally renowned brands - Armani Casa, Calvin Klein Home, Dior, Frette, Kenzo Maison, Ralph Lauren Home, and the Versace Home Collection - which are the traditional mainstay of Rubaiyat, the new Rubaiyat Home also showcases wares and accessories of another Italian esteemed brand B&B Italia Home which occupy the third floor.
Asked about his business outlook against a global bleak economic backdrop, Abdullah Binzagr, CEO of Rubaiyat, summed up his thoughts in simple words, telling Saudi Gazette “God Almighty will guide me in the most difficult situation.”
Rubaiyat Home has also a showroom in Riyadh, and some 70 shops for men's and women's apparels and related accessories Kingdom-wide - exclusively dealing with collections by leading international fashion designers.
Binzagr said earlier that “fashions change, tastes change, but quality is forever, and the collections that we offer at Rubaiyat Home, whether classic or ultra-modern in style, have the unifying factor of superlative materials - the finest leather, fabrics, woods and metals - used to create the prestigious collections and accent pieces that will become family heirlooms to be treasured by generations to come.”
Rubaiyat Home is the exclusive dealer of B&B Italia, which specializes in the production of stylish, high-quality modern furnishings that reflect the contemporary culture and modern trends.
B&B Italia exports 78 percent of its products to more than 60 countries, a strong proof of its prestige and high international standard. It has an ISO 9001 standards certification for quality systems.
Rubaiyat Home is also the exclusive dealer of Maxalto Collection, another highly respected name in home wares. Established in 1975, Maxalto Collection is a result of skilled craftsmanship, with wood as the base material.
Maxalto Collection now includes a wide range of products, with shapes drawing inspiration from the typologies and styles of French design between the two World Wars, effectively expressing them in a modern transposition. __
