More than 120 experts in the media and advertising fields are expected to attend the Kingdom's first symposium in media research in Okaz Organization for Press and Publication headquarters here on Wednesday. Iyad Bin Amin Madani, Minister of Culture and Information, will attend the event which is organized by Okaz Organization. Waleed Jameel Kattan, Director General of Okaz Organization, earlier stated that the patronizing of such an event by the Minister of Culture and Information shows the great importance attached to the media industry in Saudi Arabia. Media representatives and advertisers will meet and submit their working papers during the five-hour symposium. Participants will discuss the challenges faced by the media and come up with suggestions for both media and advertisers, according to Dr. Abdullah Banakhrah, rapporteur of the symposium.
