JEDDAH — The 18th Saudi Indian Football Forum (SIFF) League Championship will begin at the Hilal Sham Stadium near Khalid Bin Waleed Street here on Oct. 16. This was announced by SIFF President Hifsu Rahaman at a press conference here Tuesday. SIFF, which was founded in 1995, has now 32 registered football clubs with about 700 players enrolled. The forum was forced to hold the annual tournament at a new venue as the renovation work at the Ministry of Education Stadium is still in progress. The main sponsor of the event is Rabea Tea and this year's event is dubbed as SIFF-Rabea Tea Football League 2015. Secretary Naser Santhapuram gave details about the registration of teams and divisions of the tournament. Due to the increasing number of new teams and the interest of the players. SIFF has added a new division other than the A and B sections and schools event. All the divisions have 8 teams each, making it a 32-team affair. This year's tournament will also see teams from Makkah and Yanbu in action. The matches in Division A and Inter-School will begin in November. All the matches will be officiated by qualified Saudi referees. Participating teams: Division A — Real Kerala, Blue Star A, Friends Jeddah, Blue Star B, Eastern Eranad, Jeddah Friends Junior, BCC FC and ACC B. Division B — Yas Club, United Sports Club, Town Team Strikers, MakkahIndian FC, Yanbu FC, Jeddah FC, Falcon FC and Combined Blasters FC. Division C — Blue Star Seniors, New Castle Sports Club, Friday Friends Football Club, FC Quwaiza, United Sports Club Seniors, Youth India FC, Soccer Freakz and Young Challengers. Inter-School — International Indian School Jeddah, Al-Noor, Delhi Public School, Al-Wurood, Indonesian International School, Maad Al-Uloom, Novel School and Bangladesh International School.
