JEDDAH — Jeddah's new airport is nearing completion, with a test-run for the airport scheduled for mid 2016. About 85 percent of the new King Abdulaziz International Airport's terminals have been completed, terminal cleaning has begun, and parking areas for aircraft are being prepared. The new airport has 220 modern counters equipped with the latest technology for airlines. The new 136-meter-high control tower, fitted with the latest navigation equipment, has already undergone testing. More than 30 km of roads and bridges have already been completed. The airport is coordinating with the Traffic Department and Jeddah Municipality to link these bridges and roads with main roads.
