TOKYO — Rising Swiss star Belinda Bencic beat Denmark's Caroline Wozniacki Saturday to storm into the final of the Pan Pacific Open, where she will face Poland's Agnieszka Radwanska. Bencic defeated Wozniacki 6-2, 6-4, her fourth win in a row over the former world No. 1, to reach her fourth WTA final since June. If the 18-year-old wins, she will break into the world's top 10 rankings for the first time. Wozniacki was the top seed for the event but had no answer for Bencic, who won her first WTA title at Eastbourne in June then followed up by winning the Canadian Open in August. Radwanska, chasing her first WTA title in more than a year, joined Bencic in the final with a 6-4, 6-1 win over Slovakia's Dominika Cibulkova, who upset Ana Ivanovic to reach the semis but ran out of steam. Cilbulkova made a strong start, racing to a 4-2 lead, but Radwanska then reeled off 10 of the next 11 games to clinch a straight sets victory. Radwanska lost her only previous meeting with Bencic, in the Eastbourne final, and was expecting another tough encounter with the Swiss teenager. Jankovic wins Guangzhou In China, former No. 1 Jelena Jankovic of Serbia continued her strong form in China, beating Denisa Allertova of Czech Republic 6-2, 6-0 to win the Guangzhou International title Saturday. Jankovic has yet to lose a match in China this season, having won a WTA series event in Nanchang. She dominated against Allertova, converting all three of her break points in the first set and saving all three she faced in the second. Allertova was playing in her first WTA final after beating top-seeded Simona Halep of Romania in straight sets in the quarterfinals and No. 3 Sara Errani of Italy in the semifinals. Sasnovich continues sensational run In Seoul, unheralded qualifier Aliaksandra Sasnovich continued her sensational run in the semifinals of the WTA Korea Open Saturday, knocking out Slovakia's rising star Anna Karolina Schmiedlova. The Belarusian world No. 136 was down in the first set but rallied from the second to earn an upset win over tournament second seed Schmiedlova 3-6, 6-3, 6-3. In Sunday's final, Sasnovich, 21, who stunned American third seed Sloane Stephens in the quarterfinals, will face Romanian top seed Irina Begu, ranked 29th in the world. Begu overpowered her semifinal opponent Alison Van Uytvanck of Belgium 6-0, 6-2. Simon advances In France, top-seeded Stan Wawrinka withdrew from the Open de Moselle with an ankle injury Friday while former two-time champion Gilles Simon made it to the semifinals. The second-seeded Simon, who clinched his titles in the northeastern city in 2010 and 2013, converted two of his five breakpoints and withstood 12 aces to advance past Gilles Muller 6-4, 6-4. Next up for Simon is sixth-seeded Martin Klizan, who rallied to beat fourth-seeded Guillermo Garcia-Lopez 4-6, 6-3, 7-6 (4). In the semifinals, Kohlschreiber will be up against third-seeded Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, who came back from one set down to beat fellow Frenchman Nicolas Mahut 6-7 (6), 6-3, 7-5. — Agencies
