An Indian expatriate was arrested Friday for attempting steal an ATM machine containing SR600,000 using a truck he stole from a well-known carpet company three days earlier. A police patrol in the Car Showrooms Zone south of the city spotted the suspect trying to pull the cash machine out of the wall using a cable tied to the rear of the truck. When challenged by the police, the suspect tried to flee but was overpowered.
