“For better health, let's make milk our daily drink,” is the kickoff slogan of the National Day for Drinking Milk being observed today. Saudi Arabia is turning as white as milk today with over six million cans of milk being given away by major Saudi dairy companies to schoolchildren, and government and private sector employees. Today marks the third anniversary of the milk drinking day in the Kingdom, which was first started by the Ministry of Health to raise the awareness of the nutritional benefits of a glass of milk, rich in calcium which can fight osteoporosis.
