RIYADH — Fahd Al-Biladi, a Border Guard soldier, was shot dead Thursday when his post came under fire from Yemen, security spokesman at the Ministry of Interior said. The border guard outpost in Al-Tuwal sector in the southern Jazan province came under heavy fire from across the border at around 7 a.m. This resulted in an exchange of fire with the support of the ground forces until the situation was brought under control. Al-Biladi, who sustained bullet wounds in the attack, succumbed to his injuries before reaching the hospital, the Saudi Press Agency reported quoting the spokesman. — SG
