Saudi Gazette report
JEDDAH — Binaa Wa Amal, a division of Construction Products Holding Company (CPC), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dar Al-Hekma University to provide scholarships to students of architecture and interior design, and an allocation of a hall to display the company's products and materials to be used in the educational process.
The MoU also envisages arrangement of field trips for students to visit the company's industrial parks in Bahra.
The MoU supports Binaa Wa Amal's strategy to strengthen cooperation with higher education institutions in the Kingdom to develop skills and provide scholarships to young Saudi students.
The MoU was formally signed by Faysal Alaquil, CPC director of business development & chief of “Binaa Wa Amal” and Dr. Suhair Hassan Al-Qurashi, president of Dar Al-Hekma University, a leading private academic institution based in Jeddah.
Suhair Al-Qurashi said: “Dar Al-Hekma University has signed MoUs with major private companies from around the Kingdom and we are particularly delighted with this new relationship with CPC.”
“This agreement will provide our students with an opportunity that encourages them to continue learning and enable them to excel and be distinguished and creative,” she said.
The agreement is a reflection of Dar Al-Hekma University's strong belief in the importance of a cooperation and collaboration with leading local and international institutions.
Dar Al-Hekma University has signed many MoUs with numerous local institutions such as the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities, King Abdullah City for Science and Technology (KACST) and National Commercial Bank (NCB).
Faysal Alaquil said: "Through this MoU, we look forward to enhancing our cooperation with Dar Al-Hekma University to support our vision which aims to collaborate with universities and educational and vocational institutions in and out of Saudi Arabia to empower young students and continuously enhance their skills.”
