With regard to the article "Drowned Syrian boys' aunt fights to bring family to Canada" (Sep. 6), what about those young Kurdish men and women who are defending Kobani in Syria? Don't they also need to migrate to Canada or EU countries, as they are living under the bombing of the Coalition forces and are facing the attack of Daesh (the self-proclaimed IS) fighters? If it is really dangerous to live in Syria, then the entire Syrian population should be allowed to migrate elsewhere. Many educated Syrians (doctors, engineers, teachers, IT technicians, construction workers, etc.) have been working for years in Saudi Arabia or other GCC countries to support their families.
