Red roses were weathered on the New Year's Eve with the arrest of 114 rose sellers on the streets of old Jeddah midnight Wednesday. The campaign was carried out by the Passports Department. The roundup operation netted also illegal construction contractors, beggars and illegal residents of different nationalities. Beggars with fake disabilities supported by fake medical reports were seen running down the streets in good health. Some of them were chased down until arrested. The campaign was supervised by Brig. Gen. Muhammad Hasan Al-Asmari, chief of the Makkah Passports Department. Okaz/SG __
