JEDDAH — Saudi Arabia's support for Syrian brethren through convoys of relief and aid provided by the campaign for the affected and needy Syrian people has been appreciated by International Organization for Migration (IOM).
Vice Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Prince Muhammad Bin Naif, who is general supervisor of the Saudi National Campaign to support the Syrian brethren, received a letter of thanks and appreciation from President of IOM's mission in Jordan David Terzi.
He also praised the Kingdom's humanitarian efforts, which have contributed in alleviating the suffering of Syrian refugees in Jordan and meeting their essential needs to overcome the extremely harsh and painful conditions they are facing.
Meanwhile, about two tons of dates were distributed to more than 150 Syrian families in Zaatari refugee camp in Jordan as part of the continued relief operation by the Saudi campaign.
Regional Director of the Saudi National Campaign Badr Abdul Rahman Al-Samhan said in a statement that the Saudi National Campaign is working through its food program to provide proper food for the Syrians in all the host countries including Jordan, Lebanon, and Turkey.
Last month, the Saudi national campaign to support the brothers in Syria completed the third phase of its project “My brother your dwelling is your reassurance” providing accommodation to 3,202 Syrian refugee families in Lebanon.
Walid Jalal, director of the campaign office in Lebanon, explained that the campaign ends the third phase project after a year and a half on its inception, and aims at providing decent housing to Syrian refugee families.
