University of Oregon quarterback Jeremiah Masoli ran for three touchdowns and passed for another in the Ducks' 42-31 win over Oklahoma State in college football's Holiday Bowl. Masoli scored on rushes of 1, 41 and 17 yards in the third quarter, then threw a 20-yard scoring pass in the fourth. Masoli gained 106 yards on 16 carries and threw for 258 yards. There were big runs, big passes and big hits in a game showcasing two of this season's more prolific offenses, and five lead changes in the second half. Texas Bowl – Rice 38, Western Michigan 14: In Houston, Rice University took out more than 50 years of postseason frustration on Western Michigan. Chase Clement threw three touchdown passes, ran for a score and caught a touchdown pass from Jarett Dillard to lead the Owls over the Broncos. Dillard also caught his national-best 20th touchdown pass of the season as the Owls won a bowl game for the first time since the 1954 Cotton Bowl and reached 10 victories in a season for the first time since 1949. Humanitarian Bowl – Maryland 42, Nevada 35: In Boise, Idaho, Da'Rel Scott _ benched for 2-1/2 quarters after breaking curfew – ran for 179 yards and two fourth-quarter touchdowns as the Terrapins downed the Wolf Pack. Scott's 49-yard TD sprint in the fourth quarter broke a 28-28 tie and his close-range TD rush put Maryland up by 14 points. Scott was one of seven Terrapins benched for curfew violations, and became the seventh running back in Maryland history to top 1,000 yards for the season.
