Bab Rizq Jameel, a program of Abdul Latif Jameel Community Services Programs (ALJCSP), is planning to create 38,000 job opportunities in 2009, Engineer Mohammed Abdul Latif Jameel, president of ALJCSP, said in a statement on Monday. He said Bab Rizq Jameel is aiming, through its newly opened branches, to create job opportunities in different fields. Programs have been developed to train and eventually employ approximately 4,000 Saudis, and another 8,000 employees through direct employment. In the area of microfinance, Bab Rizq Jameel is expected to provide fund to approximately 20,000 household projects and will also support other 3,500 small projects. Through taxi and truck ownership programs, 1,600 and 800 young males will be supported, respectively, in addition to more than 1,000 job opportunities in other fields. Engineer Jameel further said Bab Rizq Jameel will cooperate with the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF) to provide the targeted job opportunities. He applauded the role of HRDF and the Ministry of Labor in supporting the programs launched by Bab Rizq Jameel. He noted that Bab Rizq Jameel is seeking to create outstanding commercial outlets for young Saudi men and women to start their small projects. By end of November 2008, Bab Rizq Jameel has created more than 21,000 job opportunities throughout the Kingdom. __
