The tourism authority in Dawmat Al-Jandal governorate on Monday launched a course for 30 women trainees to make olive oil soap. Hussein Bin Ali Al-Khalifa, the authority's executive director, said the number of trainees was raised to 30 from 15 after noticing the amount of interest in the one-month course. Al-Khalifa said the subject of making soap out of olive oil was selected since the region produces olives in abundance – 13 million trees produce 50,000 tons of olive oil every year. “All opportunities to invest in this product must be exploited,” he added.
