Air Arabia set to fly direct from Amman to Dammam
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 11 - 08 - 2015

AMMAN — Air Arabia Jordan customers will now be able to fly direct from Amman to Dammam as the airline today announces details of its fifth destination.
Starting Sept. 1, 2015, the carrier will fly twice weekly between Jordan's capital and the largest city in Saudi Arabia's Eastern Province.
Dammam sits at the heart of the Dammam metropolitan area, the largest metropolitan area in the Eastern Province, comprising the three neighboring cities of Dammam, Dhahran, and Al-Khobar. A major center of industry and oil production, Dammam is also home to King Abdul Aziz Sea Port, one of the busiest commercial ports in the Kingdom.
Flights to Dammam will operate on Wednesday and Sunday nights, departing Queen Alia International Airport at 23:05 p.m. and arriving in Saudi Arabia at 01:20 a.m. the next day.
Flights to Jordan will leave King Fahd International Airport early on Thursday and Monday mornings at 02:00 a.m. before arriving back in Amman at 04:30 a.m.
Dammam joins Jeddah as Saudi Arabian cities served by Air Arabia Jordan. The carrier also flies to Erbil in Kurdistan Region of Iraq, Sharam El Sheikh in Egypt, and Kuwait City in Kuwait.
"In a short space of time, Air Arabia Jordan is rapidly establishing its route network and bringing a new level of connectivity to people living in Jordan," an Air Arabia Jordan spokesperson said.
"Dammam is the entry point to a province of more than four million people and a major center of industry in the Middle East.
Consequently, we look forward to launching our new Amman-Dammam route in September." Air Arabia Jordan began operations in May 2015 and is Jordan's leading and only low cost carrier (LCC).
The carrier focuses on offering comfortable, reliable and value for money air travel from and into Jordan. The company offers its passengers a 32" seat pitch, the best economy configuration in the market. — SG
