The Shoura Council on Sunday condemned Israel's brutal attacks on Palestinians and described Gaza slaughter as a state-sponsored terrorism, an act of war and a genocide. Dr. Saleh Bin Humaid, the Shoura Chairman, said Israeli attacks have revealed the extent of its barbarism and breach of all international laws. The Shoura asked Israel to halt its offensive plans launched after a series of siege, closure and collective punishments. The statement called for providing protection for the brotherly people of Palestine, lifting the siege, and enabling them to obtain their legitimate national rights. The Shoura also called on the UN Security Council to immediately intervene and stop the aggression, demanding the international community to bear its responsibility and hold Israel accountable for the genocide. It called on Palestinians to overcome their differences and not to give Israel any chance to extend its offensives. The statement lauded the King Abdullah's orders to send urgent aid to Gaza and his directives to transport the wounded Palestinians to the Kingdom for treatment.
