JAZAN — As many as 387,543 illegal Yemenis who have arrived in the Kingdom before April 9 have corrected their residency status so far, the Passport Department announced. They were issued with a six-month renewable visitor card, which will ensure them free education and healthcare in addition to employment in the private sector. A source in the Passport Department said the card could be renewed on the request of the employer. Col. Safar Bin Mansour Bin Dilaim, supervisor of the status correction campaign in Riyadh, expected the number to cross 400,000 before the end of the grace period on Aug. 15.
