HAFR AL-BATIN — Police arrested a Saudi man accused of attacking his wife and causing a head injury that proved fatal. Col. Ziyad Al-Ruqaiti, spokesman for the Eastern Province Police, said Hafr Al-Batin Police received a report at 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday of a Saudi woman in her 30s who had been physically assaulted by her husband during a family dispute. The woman was rushed to hospital after sustaining serious injuries to the head but she died. The husband, who is also in his 30s, was apprehended and taken into custody in preparation for referring him to the Bureau of Investigation and Public Prosecution (BIP).
