MUSCAT — Omani government on Wednesday (July 15) awarded projects worth RO105.7 million ($274 million) including the construction of infrastructure at the new residential area in the Wilayat of Liwa in North Al Batinah Governorate; TV digital transmission project for the Public Authority for Radio and TV and supply of surgical materials for the Ministry of Health. The other projects include additional works for the supply and installation of standard equipment for Muscat International Airport and Salalah Airport, as well as the other domestic airports. The Tender Board has also awarded additional works to provide licenses for Microsoft program for the schools of the Ministry of Education for 2015/2016 besides the lease contract for the building of the Public Authority for SMEs Development. Also included are additional works for the design and construction of internal roads for the area between the areas north of the ring road in Salalah in Dhofar Governorate; the extension of the lease contract for the Public Authority for Manpower Register in Muscat; construction of technologies center at the College of Applied Sciences in Nizwa and for the provision of regular maintenance services, the Oman Observer reported. — Agencies
