RIYADH — About 5.808 million Umrah visas were issued in the current season. The visas were issued through 110 Saudi consulate missions abroad. Prince Khalid Bin Saud Bin Khalid, assistant foreign minister, said on Wednesday. The government, he said, endeavors to provide all facilities and services to Muslims coming from all over the world to to perform Umrah (minor Haj). All efforts are put in place to enable the pilgrims and other worshipers perform their rituals in ease and tranquility. In a statement, he lauded the guided group-Umrah pilgrims system for those coming from abroad as well as from inside the Kingdom, attributing the success of the recent measure to the coordination between ministries of foreign affairs, interior and Haj. — SPA
