Turkish Airlines celebrates spirit of Eid across Middle East
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 16 - 07 - 2015

TURKISH Airlines, the national carrier of Turkey and Europe's best airline, is celebrating Eid-Al-Fitr by demonstrating its generosity and appreciation for the over 100 nationalities it serves across the Middle East. Customers will be greeted with an “Eid Mubarak” message painted in Arabic and English on the A321 aircraft which flies to 34 markets in the Middle East and North Africa.
The initiative is based on Turkish Airlines core values of respect and warmth towards all those it serves. The airline, which flies to 228 international destinations, the most of any global carrier, is keen to reach out to its customers in the Middle East, one of its fastest growing markets.
Dr. Temel Kotil, CEO, Turkish Airlines, said: “The Middle East is one of our fastest growing markets and we are truly grateful to all our customers from the region for supporting us over the years. I want to personally wish them a very safe and wonderful Eid from Turkish Airlines.”
Adem Ceylan, Vice-President, Marketing and Sales for Middle East and Cyprus, Turkish Airlines said: “We are very proud to say we served over five million people in the Middle East in the last twelve months. This year, we want to honor them as they are largely responsible for our growing success in the region. We wish them all Eid Mubarak.”
Turkish Airlines, one of the fast growing carriers in the world, now offers its Middle Eastern customers direct flights to Istanbul, Antalya, Izmir, Trabzon and Bursa in Turkey. Globally, it connects its passengers to 276 destinations in 110 countries in an effort to provide customers greater connectivity.
In keeping with the spirit of Ramadan, Turkish Airlines gave over 300,000 iftar meals to the underprivileged in 18 destinations across the Middle East and Asia. The airline also commemorated the Holy Month by launching an Arabic Call center to serve its customers across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Jordan, Egypt, Algeria, Tunisia and Morocco. — SG
