BEIJING — Chinese state media say a warehouse containing fireworks has exploded in northern China, killing at least three people and injuring more than a dozen others. The official Xinhua News Agency says the explosion happened on Sunday morning in Hebei province, which borders Beijing. It says the explosion shattered nearby windows and even those of a flour factory about 1 kilometer (mile) away. Photos on the news website 163.com appeared to show the warehouse's roof had blown off. China is the world's largest producer of fireworks, which are widely used to celebrate the Lunar New Year. — AP
