MOSCOW — There is no threat of Russia being stripped of the World Cup due to the impending change of FIFA president or the FBI probe into alleged corruption at world soccer's governing body, Russian Sports Minister Vitaly Mutko said Wednesday. But Mutko, a member of FIFA's executive committee, added that drastic change was needed at “a world class organization” that “needed to reclaim the trust of fans.” Speaking to a group of foreign journalists assembling in Moscow at the start of a tour of the 11 World Cup cities, Mutko said: “The World Cup does not belong to Russia, it belongs to FIFA but Russia will organize the World Cup for FIFA as planned.” — Reuters
