RIYADH – Minister of Labor Dr. Mufrej Al-Haqbani signed Wednesday at the Labor Ministry headquarters here a bilateral agreement to organize recruitment with Uganda. The pact was signed from the Ugandan side by Minister of Labor Muruli Mukasa, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said. Dr. Al-Haqbani said the agreement with Uganda is the ninth such pact. Agreements have been signed with a number of Asian and African countries. The Ministry of Labor is going to sign agreements with more countries for the recruitment of domestic workers. As per the agreement the total cost for recruitment from Uganda will be SR7,000 and a worker will receive a monthly salary of SR750. The agreement signed between the two countries is for five years. It includes the formation of a joint working team of senior officials from the two countries. The officials will meet periodically to discuss the issues of concern and solve them in line with the regulations, bylaws and directives in force in the Kingdom. — SG
