Published in The Saudi Gazette on 04 - 07 - 2015

NATIONAL Trade Company, the sole agent for King Long buses in Saudi Arabia, and the Saudi-Emirate Integrated Transportation Company (Seitco), signed an agreement whereby Seitco buys more than 1,000 “King Long” school buses fully equipped for transportation according to school bus standards in Saudi Arabia.
These buses will be used for public school students' transportation in the Eastern province, Tabuk and Yanbu.
The agreement came after Seitco has been awarded a tender for implementation of expansion plan of free school transport services starting from the beginning of the next academic year, which was developed by Tatweer Educational Transportation Services Company.
Dr. Hamid Mutabagani, Chairman of National Trade Company, said King Long buses are characterized by its high safety and security standards both from inside and outside, making them more suitable for school transport for young students, and this is evident from the high demand for this purpose.
Dr. Khalid Mutabagani, Vice Chairman of National Trade Company, said: “National Trade Company, the sole agent for King Long buses, has very strong and successful business relationship with Seitco, and they are satisfied with our high level of services, which formed a solid platform for this new agreement for the supply of more than 1,000 buses, which is a large number of buses in one deal.”
Capacity of King long buses ranges between 40 and 55 seats. The buses feature a long list of safety equipment in accordance with the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO), which ensures the highest level of protection for schoolchildren, such as seat safety belts, speed limit, automatic fire fighting system in engine room, using of insulating materials for all parts of the bus electric circuit, in addition to emergency exits and doors, to ensure highest comfort and safety for students.
King Long buses meet all requirements in the Saudi market, as they offer a wide range of buses such as school buses, passenger buses, passenger vans and ambulances equipped for medical services.
The agreement was signed by Sami Abdurrahman Al-Shubaily, CEO of National Trade Company, and Khaled Al-Hoqail, Chairman of Seitco.
The buses will be delivered in late July 2015 after the completion of testing, and will be distributed in three cities Dammam, Tabuk and Yanbu. — SG
