New health projects will be established in Jeddah and surrounding villages, Dr. Sami Badawood, Director of Jeddah Health Affairs Management, announced here on Monday. Dr. Badawood held a meeting with a number of heads of departments at Jeddah Health Affairs Management to discuss the latest development projects in the health sector. “We are going to increase the number of primary health care centers in Jeddah and in the small villages surrounding the city,” said Badawood. According to him, government buildings will be constructed using one unified model. “We are going to facilitate the tasks of the contractors involved in the implementation of these projects and solve the problems that are facing them, so they can complete construction as soon as possible,” added Badawood. After the success achieved by the Health Affairs Management during the previous year in the construction of 16 government health centers, we are going to have the same number of health centers built in 2009, added Badawood. “Such large projects require us to employ a large number of medical staff which is why we have started several training programs for those who will participate in Health Affairs Management programs,” said Abdulrahman Al-Sahafi, Public Relations Manager in Jeddah Health Affairs Management.
