The Ministry of Education has completed necessary arrangements and procedures for sending 372 teachers to teach in foreign countries on a secondment basis. Dr. Saeed Bin Muhammad Al-Melais, Deputy Minster of Education, urged the education administrations in all the regions to nominate candidates to teach in foreign countries and Saudi academies abroad fixing Jan. 21 as a deadline for sending the candidates' names to the Ministry's Undersecretary. He stressed that no application will be accepted beyond that date. Eligible candidates must have a bachelor degree; their evaluation in the past three years should not be below 95 percent, and they must have spent six years in service and worked abroad or attended a course in a foreign country. Those who are chosen to teach in foreign countries must have a good command of the English language, while those who are sent to Arab countries will be exempted from this condition. Candidates are also requested to produce authentic copies of their credentials as well as documents indicating their years of service and experience, a medical report and the family's ID. The candidates will teach Islamic subjects, biology, math, physics, chemistry, English, social sciences and school management.
