Business solutions provider Focus Softnet has been granted a freehold company licence in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, making it the fourth Indian company to receive the license. The new subsidiary launched by Focus Softnet to make use of the licence is called Focus Software Solution Co. Ltd., and Softnet claims it qualifies for IT projects of any size. Softnet also claims that at least $10 million worth of new projects are planned for 2008. Jawad Ali Khan, chief operations officer of Sales at Focus Softnet, said: “The new subsidiary will allow us to expand, manage and control our operations better, since we are 100 percent foreign-owned company. We are investing heavily in expanding our resources and infrastructure in the Kingdom to meet the growing demand for our solutions. We have a customer base of over 2000 all over Saudi Arabia satisfactorily using our ERP and business solutions and with the new company formation and huge investments we are doing in Kingdom, our customers are assured of our commitment to serve them better.” Ali Hyder, chief executive officer of Focus Softnet, added that the new subsidiary will be open to joint ventures with companies currently unable to operate in Saudi Arabia due to the complex procedures involved. He said: “We can provide them with a ready platform to start their operations.” __
