Saudi Telecom Company (STC) has been named “Best Wholesaler of the Year in the Middle East” at the annual telecommunications awards. The World Communications Awards are recognized as the most prestigious awards for telecoms operators in the region. The Best Wholesale Carrier category was open to wholesale telecoms providers in wireline, fixed wireless, mobile or converged markets. The judges were looking an innovative business model, successful partnering strategy and new technology deployment and were examining areas such as cost, quality, connectivity, geographical reach and customer care approach. It recognizes market players, who through applying effective techniques and strategies to their wholesale businesses have established themselves at the forefront of the wholesale telecoms industry. “We're very pleased that STC has been recognized as the leading wholesale carrier in the Middle East,” said Sa'ad Ahmed Demyati, STC's vice president for wholesale business unit. “This award represents a clear acknowledgement by our customers, of STC's continuous efforts to offer high-quality Wholesale services.
