JEDDAH — Minister of Health Khaled Al-Falih sacked on Monday senior officials of Jeddah's King Fahd Hospital (KFH) after a video clip showing insects swarming the hospital's Convalescence Center went viral on social media.
Those who faced disciplinary action included director of the hospital, director of Convalescence Center, director of nursing, and supervisors of cleaning and maintenance, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
The minister ordered closure of the Convalescence Center building and transferring the facility to a new building in Musadia.
The minister took the decisions after carrying out investigation into the video clip being circulated on social networking sites on Sunday.
The ministry apologized for inconvenience caused to patients due to the negligence on the part of some officials.
