SR100m Madina water project approved By Khaled Al-Shalalhi MADINA – The Water Directorate in Madina on Sunday approved the SR100 million project for treated water. Public tenders will be issued for the project by the beginning of the next year, Nabeel Azmirli, chief of the directorate said. Sewage networks, he said, are now serving 50 percent of the city's districts. The projects being currently carried out in the region will contribute solving the problem of water shortage in Khaibar, Mahd Al-Thahab, Al-Ola, Yanbu, Badr and Al-Hinakiyyah governorates, he said. – Okaz/SG Expatriate staff protest delayed salary By Muhammad Sabti ARAR – Over 100 expatriate staff members of Arar Central Hospital have complained to the Northern Frontier's Labor Office accusing their company of delaying payment of salaries and not providing them with valid residency permits (Iqamas). Anil Membra, a technician working in the hospital for five years, said the company has not paid him for over nine months now. Salf Al-Jarid, director of the Labor Office here, said a committee is looking into the issue. – Okaz/SG KSU, University of Leeds sign agreement RIYADH – King Saud University on Saturday night signed a service agreement with the University of Leeds, United Kingdom. The agreement aims at cooperation for providing an English language Master's program. Adel Faqeeh, Mayor of Jeddah, will inaugurate the exhibition aimed at the assimilation of the physically handicapped, especially those with impaired vision, into society. An album by Almothanna Bedaiwi, a person with impaired vision, is set to be launched on the occasion.
