With regard to the article "Clarion calls to save Rohingya Muslims" (June 17), I thank Dr. Ali Al-Ghamdi for highlighting the misery of the oppressed and persecuted Rohingya Muslims of Myanmar. It is heartening to note that so many noted non-Muslims around the world have spoken out in their defense. At the same time, it is sad to note that Nobel Peace Prize laureate Aung San Suu Kyi has remained silent about their plight. However, it is now high time that the OIC wakes up and that its member countries take immediate action to save the Rohingya before they perish under Buddhist barbarism.
