Saudi beheaded for killing father
RIYADH – A Saudi man was beheaded on Saturday in the southwestern region of Asir after being convicted of murdering his father, the Interior Ministry said. Obeid Bin Saeed Al-Qahtani was found guilty of shooting his father during an argument, the ministry said in a statement. – SPA
Burglars apprehended

DARB – Police here on Friday arrested two suspects including a juvenile for allegedly breaking into eight houses and a number of shops. Police also seized more than 700 bundles of qat from a car and are pursuing the driver who fled into a residential area. – Okaz/SG
Collision injures 5 Daghestani pilgrims

MADINA – Five Daghestani women pilgrims were injured when their car collided with a fuel tanker on the second ring road here on Friday. The injured were removed to King Fahd Hospital where one of them was reported to be in critical condition. Col. Mansour Al-Johani, spokesman for the Civil Defense here, said the pilgrims' small car collided with the large fuel tanker. – Okaz/SG
Man dies on wedding night

QUNFUDA/JIZAN/TANOMA – A 23-year-old man died on his wedding night when his car overturned several times on Abha-Jizan Road. The groom's friends traveling with him also sustained injuries and all were taken to King Fahd Hospital Thursday. In Qunfuda, a man died instantly and another passenger sustained minor injuries when their car overturned near Al-Qouz Rural Center. The driver attempted to avert a speeding car that appeared from virtually nowhere. In another accident near Hali – 170 km south of Qunfuda – a man, who was injured when his car collided with a water tanker, was taken to Al-Qunfuda General Hospital. – Okaz/SG
Saudi stabbed to death

AHSA – A 28-year-old Asian expatriate allegedly stabbed a 47-year-old Saudi in the stomach with a piece of glass here on Thursday after a brief altercation. The victim later died in the hospital. In another incident, police arrested a man in his 20s shortly after he allegedly shot an old man and his son near Hazzan Square on King Abdullah Road causing them injuries. The old man is in critical condition while the son was said to be recovering.
