A FUNCTION organized by the Andhra Pradesh United Society (APUS) on the occasion of Eid-Al-Adha brought together the Indian community recently in Riyadh. Dr. Ashraf Ali, the society's president, called the Indian government to come down heavily on those responsible for the Mumbai terror attack and to step up security in the country. Guest of honor, Naveed Ahmed, president of the Hyderabad Business Community (HBC), underscored the need for business ventures in the Indian expatriate community, urging them to send their remittances back home through legalized channel. A musical show followed the dinner. Well-known singers, Alex, Abdul Gaffar, Shafeeq, Aftab Ahmed, Khader Rafi and Fasi, entertained the audience with their rendition of new and old Bollywood hits. Nayeem A. Qayum, Vice President of APUS, welcomed the guests and Aamir Ghaffar compèred the program.
