ECU Lines, Ittihad shine in Jotun Cup

JEDDAH — ECU Lines, Ittihad-XI and Eirad Travels ended up in the winner's column in the second week matches of JCA-Jotun Paints Morning League here.
ECU Lines beat Al-Khulais-XI by 109 runs. ECU Lines batted first and posted 265 for 3. Umar hit 35 (7x4), Nisar 41 (4x4 and 3x6), Javed Butt 92 (11x4 and 4x6), Junaid Butt 63 not out (6x4 and 3x6) and Azhar 18 not out. Hafiz Ismail bagged 2 wickets for 38 and Arshad 1 for 56. In reply, Al-Khulais was bundled out for 156 with Irshad making 51 (4x4 and 3x6), Imran 13, Arshad 14 (3x4) and Ismael 15. Mansoor claimed 3 for 35, Nisar 2 for 5 and Umar 1 for 17.
Ittihad beat KAIA by 38 runs. Taking the strike first, Ittihad scored 162 for 9 in 20 overs. Rizwan made 49 (3x4 and 4x6), Sikandar 22 and Fahad 13. Amin took 4 for 30, Fahad 2 for 14, while Farooq and Danish bagged a wicket each. KAIA was all out for 124 with Majid scoring 25 (3x6 and 1x4), Abdullah 20, Fahad 23, Ahsan 10 and Amin 11. Waheed returned figures of 4 for 6, including a hat trick. Rizwan took 2 for 13, while Fahad and Nasir grabbed a wicket each.
The third match saw Eirad Travels get a walkover since its rival, Blossoms-XI, failed to turn up.
