I was deeply moved and saddened by the nefarious terrorist acts during the last two Fridays. Is this peaceful country inching towards chaos? But after reading Khaled Almaeena's bold article in Saudi Gazette “The sectarian divide threatens national unity,” I feel reassured and optimistic again. It was sane voice of a visionary intellectual. I salute Khaled Almaeena for writing that inspiring article and Saudi Gazette for publishing it. This is how the flames of hope is kindled and sustained. Saudi Arabia is the solid foundation of stability in the region. It is in the wider interest of international community that the Kingdom should be able to continue with its pursuit of peace and moderation. Almaeena has rightly pointed out that it requires warlike response on social level to confront this evil of sectarianism and rejectionist ideology.
