SYDNEY — The New South Wales Waratahs moved into first place in the Australian conference and into the top six overall in Super Rugby with a 32-22 win over the New Zealand-based Crusaders Saturday in a replay of last year's championship match. The Waratahs edged the Crusaders 33-32 in last year's title game in Sydney to claim their first Super title and deny the Crusaders their eighth championship. Saturday's win moved the Waratahs three points clear of the ACT Brumbies, who had a weekend bye in the Australian conference. Earlier Saturday, the Wellington-based Hurricanes consolidated their place atop the New Zealand conference and likely gained home advantage in the playoffs with a 29-5 win over the Auckland-based Blues. — AP
