About 350 orthopedic surgeons from within and outside the Kingdom are expected to attend the five-day second international conference at King Abdul Aziz University from Jan. 10. King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, has given the go-ahead for convening the conference under the aegis of the Saudi Orthopedics Society at the Faculty of Medicine at the KAU. Professor Muhammed Jalal Al-Sayad, professor of orthopedics and chairman of the organizing scientific committee of the conference, has extended his profound thanks to King Abdullah for the personal interest he takes in scientific conferences and his support for such activities. Professor Al-Sayad pointed out that more than 30 countries are participating in the conference and will be addressed by renowned doctors in the field. The participating doctors, he said, would present the latest developments in the field. He said doctors from the United States, Germany, Canada, Switzerland, France, Korea, Singapore and Egypt will present their papers in the field of orthopedics and will demonstrate the latest devices used in enlarging bones. __
