Congress sources said the noted writer and columnist would contest the forthcoming Indian Lok Sabha elections on a Congress ticket from Thiruvananthapuram, capital of the southern Kerala state. However Tharoor, speaking to the press here Tuesday during a Congress conference a day after attending a huge rally addressed by Congress chief Sonia Gandhi, was non-committal. “ First, let the offer come,'' he told reporters, adding that he would not close the door to such a possibility. Gandhi had invited Tharoor to the state conference to present a paper on terrorism. He has been serving as Gandhi's unofficial advisor on international relations.
