RIYADH – Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman has issued orders to include a section of Saudi young men and women, who pursue their higher studies in the United States at their personal expense, in the King's foreign scholarship program.
Minister of Education Azzam Al-Dakhil thanked King Salman for this gesture, which will benefit more than 12,000 students, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
The royal order covers all students who joined universities and institutes to study language, and the government will meet the expenses for the two semesters of language study. This was in line with the recommendations of Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Naif, deputy premier and minister of interior, and Deputy Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, second deputy premier and minister of defense, who are currently on a visit to US.
