TRIPOLI — Representatives of internally displaced people (IDPs) who have taken refuge in Tobruk have met with the Tobruk Municipal Council and the local Crisis Committeein to address the government's decision to stop paying for rental properties for the IDPs in Tobruk. The government in Beida has said that as of 30 June it will no longer pay the costs of housing the IDPs. For its part, the Crisis Committee says that it has not received any money so far from the government towards the costs. Angry IDPs from Derna, Benghazi and Warshefana met with the Crisis Committee and the Municipal Council saying that without help they will end living on the streets. With Ramadan fast approaching, those at the meeting said they were committed to finding a solution, but came to no final conclusion. — Libya Hertald
