Irshad, Ejaz blast tons in SAIB T20

RIYADH — Round six matches were played in the ongoing SAIB T20 Tournament which is sponsored by Saudi Investment Bank and organized by Riyadh Cricket Association (RCA).

Al-Kharaj League

KFSH Blues defeated Sama Steel by 23 runs. Batting first, KFSH Blues posted 254-5. Irshad blasted 119 and Munawar 51. Ejaz took 2 wickets. In reply, Sama Steel was restricted to 231. Ejaz also smashed a century (108). Gulraiz and Iftikhar took 2 wickets each.

In their second match of the day, KFSH Blues inflicted a 7-wicket defeat on Pak Shaheen. Pak Shaheen was all out for 175. Javed (41) and Waheed (31) batted well. Spinner Iftikhar took 4 wickets. KFSH Blues got to the target in 16 overs. Irshad top scored with 64 and Nasir made a quick 14-ball 44.

Lahore Badshah humbled Lahore Lions by 6 wickets. Lahore Lions scored 174. Fahad and Shoaib took 2 wickets each. Lahore Badshah chased down the target in 17.1 overs. Fahad scored 54, Shoaib 51 and Yasir 44.

Shuraim flattened Amir Holidays by 7 wickets. Amir Holidays compiled 201-5 through Sami (45) and Sajid (38). Faisal took 2 wickets. Shuraim successfully chased the target in 18.4 overs. Nadeem smashed 86 and Faisal 54.

Hayer League

Pak Eagles and Pasban played the match of the day, which ended in a tie. Pak Eagles scored 166-9. Anees contributed 47 and Farooq 37. Zainullah was the pick of the bowlers with 5 wickets. Pasban ran out of players after equaling the scores. Murad and Khaista scored 36 and 34, respectively. Wahid took 3 wickets.

Punjab Stars downed Green Bangla by 107 runs. Punjab Stars collected 243-2. Rustum smashed 105 and Zaheer 91. Green Bangla fumbled in the chase and was all out for 136 in 17.3 overs. Afzal picked up 3 wickets, while Naeem and Zaheer grabbed 2 each.

Kashmir Strikers won against Riyadh Royals by 5 wickets. Riyadh Royals racked up 186-9. Annam smashed 53 and Salman 37. Shabbir took 3 wickets and Khurram 2. Kashmir Strikers achieved the target in 19.2 overs for the loss of 5 wickets. Manzoor (52) and Shabir (40) took the team to victory.

Pakhtunkhwa Gladiators humbled Grundfos by 57 runs. Pakhtunkhwa scored 228-4. Qasim played a marvellous innings of 117. Grundfos managed only 171.

Thales lost to Aisco by 5 wickets. Thales posted 191 -6. Aziz top scored with 61. Asif, Amjad and Shehzad claimed 2 wickets each. Aisco recorded the victory in the 18th over. Israr (50) and Shehzad (36) took the team home. Ali grabbed 2 wickets.
