Special medical teams from Health Affairs Management have been deployed at King Abdul Aziz International Airport here for a medical checkup of pilgrims before their departure from the Kingdom. Dr. Sami Badawood, head of Health Affairs Department, who visited the airport on Sunday, said good results have been achieved during the Haj season. “But we still need to continue to serve the departing pilgrims,” he said. Medical teams will be able to provide suitable treatment to ensure the safety of pilgrims during their journey, added Badawood. “Most pilgrims catch flu and other infectious diseases after completing their Haj rituals. The medical team will help them in having medical tests such as diabetes, blood pressure, and body temperature,” he said. During the Haj, Dr. Badawood said, several cases of infection were detected and proper medication and care was given to the pilgrims.
