Saudi Gazette report RIYADH — Minister of Foreign Affairs Adel Al-Jubair announced on Monday that the Saudi-led coalition is considering a temporary halt in airstrikes on rebels in Yemen to allow the delivery of aid to the country. He also unveiled the Kingdom's plan to host a center to coordinate delivery of humanitarian supplies, the Saudi Press Agency reported. “The Kingdom is holding consultations with members of the alliance in the defense of legitimacy in Yemen and all countries that support it, to create specific areas inside Yemen to deliver humanitarian supplies, where all aerial operations will stop at specific times to allow the delivery of these supplies, as stipulated by UN Security Council resolution 2216,” Jubair said in a statement. He warned the Houthi militias and forces allied to them against exploiting the temporary halt to airstrikes in those regions or preventing the delivery of supplies. Jubair said that Saudi Arabia plans to establish a center in the Kingdom with the objective of coordinating all efforts for the delivery of humanitarian supplies. The center will also facilitate efforts by the UN to deliver aid amounting to $274 million announced by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, he added.
