Bremen cancels Indonesia trip

BERLIN — German side Werder Bremen has canceled a proposed tour of Indonesia after a row between the government and local football association brought a halt to matches in the Southeast Asian country. Werder said arranging friendly matches in Indonesia was “extremely difficult” after the Sports Ministry suspended the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) for ignoring its advice on how to run the domestic league. — Reuters
