The San Jose Sharks show no sign of slowing their blazing start to the NHL season, shutting down the Anaheim Ducks 2-0 on Thursday for a 10th win in 11 games. Evgeni Nabokov made 31 saves in his first shutout of the season, and captain Patrick Marleau had a goal and an assist for the league-leading Sharks, who opened a 13-point advantage atop the Pacific Division standings over the second-placed Ducks. Pascal Dupuis also had his first career three-goal game as the Penguins scored nine for the first time since 2000-01. The Islanders dropped their season-high fifth in a row and allowed nine goals for the first time since 2005-06. Sykora previously had 38 two-goal games without getting a third, surpassing the 28 game record.
