BEIRUT — A Saudi citizen who was jailed in Lebanon was released after serving his sentence and not because of any deal with the Lebanese government or any other party, according to his lawyer. Maha Fatha said Fahd Al-Maghamis was released after serving seven years, but only after a delay in securing his release papers. Lebanese officials coordinated with the Saudi Embassy in Beirut to deport him via Rafiq Hariri International Airport to the Kingdom. Fatha said there were six other Saudi detainees serving life imprisonment in Lebanese prisons.
